Post Opening Construction Update 8/6/11

The lights are now installed. The lights only run along the southern edge of the coaster. Approximately 14 lights run along the edge of the coaster.

The lights appear to be florescent, I attempted to get a good picture of the front and back of the light.

Ironically enough it appears crews needed temporary lights to help install the permanent lights.

While I was visiting I couldn't resist getting some pictures of people enjoying the Pippin.

  3. I'm missing it also, things were just getting rolling on the construction this time last year. The structure for the first drop and turns 2 and 3 were going up. How many rides did you get in over the summer?

  4. About 40, but only twice at night after the lights were installed, which wasn't nearly enough. Definitely looking forward to the lights being up ALL summer next year. I wish the park would be open through october and november, it usually doesn't snow till december. How many rides did you get in?

  5. I managed to get 65 in. I had hoped to get 100 but it wasn't in the cards.

  6. I find wooden roller coasters at its best and make a lot of fun and never more so if it is a top track.

  7. I'm sooo excited to see that the Zippin Pippin lives!...I remember Libertyland and going every summer when I was young!...I teared up a bit when I found this!..I especially love that they kept the libertyland logo on the cars!..so nostalgic!
